Pamela, Customer Onboarding Advisor
I’m Brazilian and am originally from Franca, near Sao Paulo in Brazil. In 2017 I moved to London to learn English and work in the events industry. In 2019 I moved up to Edinburgh, to study Business Management at Napier University. I am a keen gym goer and my favourite movies are The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. My inspiration is Michelle Obama, and my favourite quote of hers that I try to live by is: “You can’t make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen.”
Why did you choose to work at TravelNest?
I discovered TravelNest when I was looking for a company in the travel industry that shared the same values as me. Since my very first interview, TravelNest have appreciated my ideas and mindset, welcoming me onboard as the person I am. The company has an entrepreneurial mindset, and constantly strives to develop the team.
What is your impression of TravelNest so far?
Like any new job there was a lot to learn initially in my role! But I’ve learned so much, and have been able to develop lots of new skills along the way. I’m really enjoying my experience so far and looking forward to growing as TravelNest continues to grow as a company.
What is your role and what do you get involved with day-to-day?
I’m a Customer Onboarding Advisor, so my role is about welcoming new customers to TravelNest and getting them live on our platform! My main tasks involve speaking to brand new customers, onboarding them, helping them understand and maximise their use of our vacation rentals software platform, and assisting them with any enquiries. I also get involved in researching the competitor landscape, producing analysis and data to help us improve our onboarding approach.
