Vrbo is a vacation rental booking platform which stands for Vacation Rentals by Owner. The channel offers over 2 million listings in 190 countries, making it one of the largest sites of its kind and very popular amongst hosts. Vrbo advertise self-contained properties, no short-term rental of rooms only, making it different from other booking sites such as Airbnb. The brand recently celebrated 25 years of operation. Is Vrbo the same as HomeAway?
In 2020, HomeAway and VRBO merged and rebranded as one single website, Vrbo. Previously, they were two separate vacation rental booking sites founded in the USA.
